The history of Ford trucks dates back to the early 20th century, marking the beginning of what would become an iconic lineage in the automotive world. The journey started in 1917 with the introduction of the Ford Model TT, which was essentially a more robust version of the Model T car, fitted with a heavier frame and a rear axle that allowed it to accommodate a cargo bed. This adaptation was Ford's response to the growing demand for a vehicle that could carry heavy loads, catering to the needs of farmers, businesses, and industries. The Model TT set the precedent for the utility vehicles, laying the groundwork for Ford's reputation in the truck market.

As the decades progressed, Ford continued to innovate and expand its truck lineup. The introduction of the Ford Model AA in 1927, followed by the Model BB in 1933, and then the renowned Ford F-Series in 1948, marked significant milestones in Ford's truck history. The F-Series, in particular, became a cornerstone of Ford's success in the automotive industry. The first F-Series trucks, known as the Ford Bonus-Built trucks, included the F-1 (half-ton), F-2 (three-quarter ton), and F-3 (one ton) models, among others. Over the years, the F-Series evolved through numerous generations, each improving on the last in terms of power, durability, and comfort. The F-150, introduced in 1975, would go on to become not just Ford's best-selling truck, but also the best-selling vehicle in the United States, a title it holds to this day. Ford's innovation in the truck segment has continued into the 21st century with advancements in technology, safety, and sustainability, ensuring the F-Series remains a dominant force in the market.
